I'm wondering what force fetch DVD or VCR tapes are available. I've seen one for sale called "Smart Fetch," and I've heard the system is good, but they bundle that DVD with another disk and the set costs $50.00 + shipping.
I'd like to hear about this set and any other recommended optons before I spend that much on something tha I might not even like, etc.
My current dogs are not FF trained, but with a VDD pup coming I'd like to take him through a FF program, and I'd like to both read about and "see" the basic techniques used.
Thanks,
Dave

Dave: I personally own almost every DVD and/or video concerning force fetch that is available, i.e. Mike Lardy, Tri-Tronics, Delmar Smith, etc. Of all the videos out there I highly rcommend Evan Graham's SmartFetch DVD. It is a two-disk set that retails for $49.00. Prior to the DVD coming out I purchased his SmartFetch book, it sells for $25.00. The DVD is a great compliment to the book, but you do not need both of them. You can purchase the DVD from Jeff Green (GNA member) at www.green-ranch.com/dts/ of Coon River Kennels at www.coonriverkennels.com/pages/product.asp?cat=28&code=EVANG-SFETCH-DVDLet me know if you have any questions. Good luck. Wildflugel

Wildflugel, Thanks! I did buy the Smartfetch book a while back, but I just wanted to see the action as well. I don't mind paying a fair price if a product is good, and it sounds like the Smartfetch DVD would be a good investment. I really , REALLY want to train my DD pup to his potential, and I don't mind going the extra mile (dollar) to do it the best I can.
Thanks again,
Dave

Anyone have a used copy of the Smartfetch DVD available? I just got the book, but the wife would probably freak out if I go spend another $50.00 on the DVD........

I would suggest talking to your breeder about his or her method. I would also recommend attending your chapter training days. Most of them have FF clinics where you can see dogs in all different stages of the process. You will be able to witness problems they encounter and how they are corrected.
