Does anyone have experience with these dog boxes? I'm curious as to the size of the dog compartments and if they would be comfortable for medium sized DD. I see that there are a few different companies producing them, some insulated some not, I live in northern WI so am leaning towards one that's insulated. If you have any info that would help me make a choice one way or another it would be appreciated. www.etruckequipment.com/pc-210-74-buyers-aluminum-dog-box-24x27x69.aspx

About 2 years ago I purchased a similar box from Creative Sport Specialties. Mine is insulated but the insulation is pretty minimal. I live in South Dakota so my weather is similar to yours. Even though I am critical of the insulation my dogs do stay pretty warm in their boxes. I put straw in their compartments and it is amazing how warm they actually are. I usually drive about 3 1/2 hours to my favorite hunting spot. When I prepare to hunt and I'm readying my dogs they seem very warm as they are climbing out of their box. Good luck! Tom

Thanks Tom, what size dogs do you have and how do you feel about the size of the dog compartments? Mike

The doors on the box maybe hard to reach if you have a full size pickup. That model opens from the inside-out.
